Requirements for carriage of liquids/gels for passengers flying from Russian airports
New "Rules of pre- and after-flight security check" are in force in Russian Federation from 27.08.07. Rules are determining additional restrictions of liquids and gels transportation onboard of aircrafts. According to the new rules:
All liquids, gels and aerosols, transported in hand baggage, are to be in containers not exeeding more than 100 ml and must be placed into transparent resealable plastic bag (e.g. a so-called "zip-lock") with a maximum capacity of one litre (one bag per person).
Medication and special foodstuffs (e.g. baby food) which are needed during a flight may be transported outside the plastic zip-lock bag. Also the folowing items could be transported in hand baggage:
- clinical thermometer - one per passenger
- mercuric tonometer in standart pack-one per passenger
- mercuric barometer or manometer packed in hermetic container
- gas lighter -one per passenger
- artificial ice for frozing of perishible food- not more tnan 2 kg per passenger
- hydrogen peroxide- not more than 100 ml per passenger
Liquids and alcoholic drinks witn alcohol volume not more than 24% are to be carried in checked-in baggage. Alcoholic drinks witn containg alcohol more than 24% but with alcohol volume not more than 70% are to be carried in checked-in baggage in containers not exeeding 5 litres packed for retail trade- not more than 5 litres perone passenger. Duty-free articles purchased at airports or onboard of aircrafts registered in Russia, may be carried on board in a sealed bag as long as they are accompanied by a receipt bearing the date of the flight .
Reminding:
It's forbidden to passengers, departing from EU countries airports, to carry onboard liquids and gels, bought in Duty-free shops ouside EU countries or onboard of aircrafts not-registered in EU. According to the abovementioned, STC Russia kindly asks passengers to put liquids and gels into check-in bagage or or to put them into transparent plastic bag, that could be taken in airport of departure. Also STC Russia kindly asks passengers to come to the airport in advance before the flight to avoide flight delays.
