Oversized and heavy baggage is the baggage, one piece of which exceeds the allowable dimensions or weight according to the airlines baggage carriage allowance.
Passenger's baggage in three dimensions shall not exceed 203 cm and weights not exceed 32 kg. In exceptional cases baggage weighing to 50 kg can be accepted for transportation.
Such baggage id accepted for carriage upon agreement with «Rossiya airlines» OJSC.
This type of baggage may include:
- sports equipment;
- musical instruments;
- audio and video equipment;
- TV sets;
- non-foldable perambulators;
- bicycles;
A passenger wishing to carry oversized or heavy baggage shall inform the carrier when making their reservation or buying ticket. Failure to observe this rule shall entitle «Rossiya airlines» OJSC to refuse to carry such baggage.
Oversized and heavy baggage is accepted for carriage, provided the size of the loading hatches and baggage compartments of the aircraft allow the handling of the baggage and placing it on board the aircraft.
Carriage of oversized and heavy baggage shall be paid for at the fare of overweight baggage.
If the free baggage allowance of sports equipment, non foldable perambulators is esceeded, it is paid above the norm.
