Checked baggage - is baggage, for wich FSUE STC "Russia" is responsible and which the carrier checks in (registers in the ticket) and for which it issues a baggage identification tag for each seat.
Checked baggage shall be transported in the baggage compartment of the aircraft, by which the passenger is flying.
FSUE STC "Russia" may establish special standards for the transportation of baggage for certain directions and certain service class categories.
The general free baggage allowances are set forth below:

* The baggage piece concept shall be applied in the following cases:
- on the routes to/from the USA/Canada;
- on the routes in the Transatlantic region with a stopover in European countries.
The maximum weight includes the hand laggage allowance.
Such passengers as seemen, immigrants, refugees and children with children's tickets may carry baggage free of charge within established allowance stated in the ticket.
The free baggage allowance does not cover:
- domestic pets, with the exeption of guide dogs accompanying blind/deaf passengers;
- oversized and heavy baggage;
- musical instruments (cello, contrabass and others).
The cost of transportation of specified baggage is based on its actual weight and published fares and does not depend on what other items the passenger is taking as baggage.
If the passenger brings more baggage for the flight than has previously been agreed with the carrier and paid for, the additional baggage may be carried only if there is enough space on the aircraft and the passenger pays for it.
Checked-in baggage shall not contain: fragile items, perishable goods, dangeruos objects, documents, business papers, money, jewerly, medicines, objects of art etc.
